Amnia is a sound recording. It is not a medical device, and it is not medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. If you have any concern at all about your baby's sleep, breathing, feeding or development, speak to a doctor, midwife or health visitor. Do that first, not last.

What we do and do not claim

We believe a familiar, continuous low sound helps many babies settle, and that is what Amnia is built to provide. That is the whole of the claim.

We do not claim that Amnia will make your baby sleep through the night, sleep for any particular number of hours, or wake at any particular time. We do not claim it helps with colic, reflux, teething, or any other named condition. Babies differ enormously, and some will not settle to it at all. That is why the thirty-night guarantee exists.

Safe sleep comes first

Nothing about using Amnia changes safe sleep guidance. Please follow the advice given by your national health service or paediatric body. In particular:

  • Put your baby on their back to sleep, in their own clear, flat sleep space.
  • Keep the cot free of loose bedding, pillows, bumpers and soft toys.
  • Never put a phone, speaker, charger or cable in or attached to the cot. Place it well away, on a surface your baby cannot reach.
  • Keep the room at a comfortable temperature and do not overheat your baby.

Volume

Play Amnia quietly. A useful guide is roughly the level of a shower running in the next room, with the speaker at least two metres from where your baby sleeps. Louder is not better, and prolonged loud sound can harm a baby's hearing.

If you are unsure, err quieter. If your baby seems distressed by the sound, turn it off.

Do not use while driving or supervising

Amnia is designed to settle a baby, and some adults find it settling too. Do not listen to it while driving, operating machinery, or at any time when you need to stay alert.

Headphones

Never put headphones or earbuds on a baby. Amnia is meant to be played into the room.

Individual results

Any experiences described by other parents on this site are their own and are not a promise of what will happen for you. We do not offer typical results, because there is no such thing across babies.
